New crate motor leaking get rear main seal

My thought was you had a crankcase pressure problem causing your leaks.

I can see where it beds on the seal, not a huge amount, but ? How long till worse. I'm gonna get it fixed pronto. I don't want to bash the Chevy dealers but one actually told me my engine was a pp part# (performance parts) "we can't work on that here" then talked to the service manager he said after me calling bs, " my techs cant do it, they are all young and never worked on something that old." I called Serra Chevrolet he said bring it, paperwork. Said it should not be more than 3 days. I'm still not sure about the other dealers statement, had to be a misunderstanding?

I recall reading on another forum of a similar problem with a crate motor.
The crank was machined a hair smaller in the rear main seal area. We're talking only a few thousanths of an inch. It doesn't take much.
IIRC they do make an oversize seal if the stealership can't cure yours.

As for the 'performance parts' statement he was likely right. THe bean counters (lawyers) won't let them work on them.
