Gotta admit, I do have a problem with the orange. At least it isn't burnt orange. Thought about a maroon and white paint job...

My oldest daughter graduates from "that other school in Austin" next month...

I would've broke my hand trying to get my wallet out fast enough. That is a steal for a $1000.

I opened this thread up, scrolled down to the first picture, and wondered why you had any doubts in the first place.

I noticed that too. But it's my understanding that the T at the beginning of the VIN means GMC. And that VIN is the same as on the tag in the door jamb, with no evidence of any tampering...

And even if the glove box door came from a different truck (which it didn't) the VIN on the SPID starts with a T, so who knows?!?

Re: Should I buy this truck for $1000?

I sure wouldn't haggle on the price. If I was selling it for that & someone offered less, I would set it on fire. OK now you can have it for $750.

Re: Should I buy this truck for $1000?

A wrinkle has appeared. Family member of seller must be a Barrett Jackson fan. Thinks truck is worth $10,000... He can have it for that. Time to walk away I believe...

Gotta love when that know it all relative shows up with his Barrett Jackson College of Appraisal knowledge and throws that big number on it. Just leave your number with the owner for when he wants to deal one on one.

It goes more to show when you know you have a good deal and waiting can ruin a good deal. Should've went to ATM got cash and title in a minute. Not mess around

Yup, if I'm going to look at a vehicle it's cash in hand, I'm disappointed with how this has turned out.

By northern standards, that truck is worth three times that much. The under hood pics look great.
