Re: My 67' Swb On Air Ride & 18's & 20's
Yep... I almost sold it. Had to come up with some money for a garage/shop and had to sell a vehicle. My cycle sold first so we kept the truck.

Re: My 67' Swb On Air Ride & 18's & 20's
Wnad whats the spec on the wheels? I know they are 18's and 20's but what is the Back Spacing? is it 5 lug and if so did you sway to a 71-72 rear? thanks

Re: My 67' Swb On Air Ride & 18's & 20's
Truck looks beefy like a fresh pack of Jack's Links bro!
I'd like to know how much of a drop you can get out of it fully aired up and down. Will it lay on the frame / rear end? |

Re: My 67' Swb On Air Ride & 18's & 20's
IIRC . . .... it was 18x8 w/5.25" BS up front & 20x10 w/4" BS in the back. It has (had) 5x4.75" car pattern w/a Camaro/f-body rear 12bolt vs. the truck rear (which makes it about 2" or so narrower than a truck housing).
Let's see how well I retain 'important & useful' information .

Re: My 67' Swb On Air Ride & 18's & 20's
Thanks for the compliments. The truck was pretty much put together exactly the way you've seen it by the previous owner. He put the wheels on there so I'm not sure of the exact backspacing. I would guess reversed rims on the rear with the very minimum backspacing and the front wheels appear to be standard spacing for a 18 x 8. Early camaro 10-bolt rear... passenger car pattern all the way around. Pretty close SCOTI
It doesn't lay frame but it sits really nice. Low enough for me. I've cleaned the interior up on it (dynamat, new carpet, tach conversion) and stopped a handfull of oil leaks but that's it. New exhaust too. The engine compartment needs cleaned up and I have most of the stuff to do it but I've been strapped on time and it runs fine the way it is. I was thinking about driving it to the Board Meet this weekend but that's a pretty long haul on short notice...especially with a pregnant wife with no working A/C and no hotel reservations. These are pretty much the only pictures that I have of my trucks. http://www.villagephotos.com/pubbrow...der_id=1663655

Re: My 67' Swb On Air Ride & 18's & 20's
I don't know if I would sell it right now or not. I needed some money earlier but I sold my bike instead.

Re: My 67' Swb On Air Ride & 18's & 20's
Nice truck! I would think that the 20 x10 in the rear would have 6" backspace to sit in the fenders. I have been researching putting 22 x 10 on the rear of mine but I would love a confirmation on that if you would.
I love these trucks but I would KILL for that Chevelle!!!!!! |

Re: My 67' Swb On Air Ride & 18's & 20's
The wheels are much closer to somewhere around 3-4" of backspacing. I have a different rearend so the wheels fit different in the opening.
Thanks for all the compliments! The bike sold for $26K.
