Don't ask questions ,this is one time where just shutting your mouth will be to to your benefit They will run theft and any other DMV checks on it at that time , your digging your own grave ....how deep do you want it ?
Damn Grumpy, I'm worried. I agree with you.

Re: Title Question

Here in Cal I know a guy that has bought and sold Camaro's, Chevelle's, El Camino's, Nova's, Impalas' Charger's, Challenger's, Falcon Sprint's, Torino's Mach1's, C10's K10's, GMC's and Camry's for decades and many of them were not titled in his name. A double bill of sell is required if the buyer tells DMV he bought it for another person other than the guy on the title. Go to DMV along with the signed and dated title, if it has been more that 30 days a tax fee penalty is assessed. always ask seller not to date it and that gives more time to get it in your name or find someone who wants it more than you. It is common practice here in CaL i foriNa .your state may be different.

Now I'm worried !

P.S. never post the for sale ad on a truck your considering to buy that looks like a good deal to an open forum , Someone else will think it's a good deal also and swoop in and steal the deal right out from under you while you waste days considering a moot issue .

Re: Title Question

just sign your name as the buyer, they wont know you didnt buy it from the registered owner and dont tell them any different, it is really pretty straight forward....
