Re: CPP Disc Conversion - Good and Bad
Thanks for the write up. Are you running the 12" rotors from CPP? I am getting ready to order, but don't want to switch wheels.
I have about 14.5" across. Do you know the inner diameter on your new rims? |

Re: CPP Disc Conversion - Good and Bad
What size bore of clutch MC is needed for the original hydraulic clutch?
Looking at this setup: https://www.performanceonline.com/WI...YLINDER-19753/ |

Re: CPP Disc Conversion - Good and Bad
You need a 1" bore clutch master. That is what I supply in my kit for those with the '60-'62's that are keeping the original clutch slave cylinder.

Re: CPP Disc Conversion - Good and Bad
Your brackets seem to be really popular in this forum and others. Using your kit to complete the power brake conversion on my 61, I'd need a booster, brake MC, and some split brake lines, right?

Re: CPP Disc Conversion - Good and Bad
That and if you are changing to front discs, you will need a disc/drum proportioning valve also.

Re: CPP Disc Conversion - Good and Bad
After a long hiatus, I finally started back on the truck. I found my pressure problem was a heavily clogged master cylinder. No amount of compressed air or cleaning would unclog it. So, I bought a new Dorman unit for roughly $50 from summit and after bench-bleeding, I was back in business.
I was able to shift and brake better than ever. Now, the real fun begins. Looking for a new motor and tranny. |
