I was looking at a post that you made in the shop area, to use a standard outlet for the ceiling fixture due to the every evolving lighting fixtures. I'm in the final states of building my shed, I'm going to use your wisdom for my ceiling lighting. Thanks New build looks like fun. Keep on keepin on NC

Nice powder coated stuff. After I was to far along I found the PB stuff. If I do it again thats the way I'd go.

Re: My 57 Chevy #2 with PB Fab frame & RideTech Coilovers
Haven't posted in awhile, but here's an update. Picked some scrap I-beam and made a level welding table to mock up the frame. With it all squared up it will be completely welded up solid. I will probably weld up most of the bolt holes afterwards just to clean up the look a bit.

Welding table is definitely the way to go, if i ever do another that will be the first thing to get done. looks like the start of another awesome truck.

Wow that "welding table is fandamtastic!!!! Good get on the I-beams.
How many friends will it take to move it? Or are you just going to radiate yourself, turn green and do it alone? NC

Re: My 57 Chevy #2 with PB Fab frame & RideTech Coilovers
Well here's an update for you guys!
I had a pro welder come to my house and weld everything up after I squared everything up and tacked it together. Decided to remove the bolts and weld up the holes to make it look a little cleaner. This week I was finally able to put in some serious garage time and make it a roller, sort of a roller, don't have any wheels to fit the front hubs! The RideTech coil over shocks are very nice, hope they perform half as good as they look! Hope to keep up this pace over the summer! Next is to install a mockup motor and trans and build the exhaust and run the fuel and brake lines.

Re: My 57 Chevy #2 with PB Fab frame & RideTech Coilovers
EVerything's looking good, JJ.
You'll probably lose 50% of the remaining space between the top of that Coke can and the underside of the frame just by putting the bodywork on.

Re: My 57 Chevy #2 with PB Fab frame & RideTech Coilovers
Yes it has been a long time since I posted anything on this site. Lots of things have happened in my life that slowed any progress on my truck projects. The worst thing was the untimely passing of my wife in Feb 2019. It has been a major adjustment for me and my children, but we are doing pretty well all things considered.
At the urging of my children, I bought a new home to help with the healing process. The plus side is its a raised home with 1800 sqFt of garage space. This summer my son and I did get to work on a few other projects. I do hope to get going again on the PB frame build. Here's a peak at what we have been up to.
