Re: Youtube Channels
I finally posted a couple videos I had on my new channel under my name. Just one of the '72 and a few real shorts (Need to learn how to combine/edit) of Detroit power at a show. Not the best, but shows the truck a bit better than just a picture... not that it's all that special. I need to figure out how to post videos from Photobucket

Re: Youtube Channels
Now that I know how to post there, maybe I'll do a how-to or two. Mostly I want to do ones more for entertainment... cover shows, driving, funny stuff, etc. It seems the how-tos are pretty well covered

Re: Youtube Channels
Very interesting. I don’t use YouTube often but I have been looking at getting a go pro for filming my backpacking/hunting trips and maybe other things. I am intrigued now.

Re: Youtube Channels
I'm using it more, now that I dropped Directv. I want to get a GoPro, too. I want to cover other aspects of my life than the trucks. One thing I don't want is a camera stick. I don't really get why people think we need to look at them and not the thing they are showing us. I guess they want to be a star... whatever.
I liked your video, 71GMC. Not being a DH, just thought you'd want to know. But your truck is a GMC C1500. The shorter "15" designate came along in the squarebody era

Re: Youtube Channels
Thanks special k. And I know that its c1500 but c15 sound better kinda like c10. I mean the fender emblume does say 1500. But I don't say any thing when people call a custom 10 a c10. See same thing.

Re: Youtube Channels
Actually, it's not the same. They are all Chevy C/10s or GMC C1500s, then they have trim options same as all other options. Base C1500 through Sierra Grande are all the GMC C1500 model. I go by what GM calls them. You can call your truck what you like for your own reasons. I only said something, not knowing if you were aware, trying to help.

Re: Youtube Channels
Fare enough. As for go pros I just use my phone. It not the gratest. And you will probly notice when I got a new phone because the video quality is better. Go pros don't have very good sound strait out of the box you need a external mic. And don't us the case that goes around them. They sound even worst with that on.

Re: Youtube Channels
I used my Powershot camera. I guess you can tell by the movement. Unfortunately I seem to have entombed that camera between the ceiling and roof on a part of my house I put new steel roof on last fall... DOH!! I've been wanting a GoPro ever since they came out for my motorcycle rides. You won't see me using a camera stick. I don't get why people need to video themselves walking along through what they made the video to show you. Show me where you are walking, not your face talking as you walk through.

Re: Youtube Channels
I'm glad to hear someone else feels the same way. I watched some video about this huge, possibly largest, treehouse in TN. I really liked seeing it, but I swear the camera was on him half the time. It took a lot of effort to keep the camera on his face while he climbed ladders and such. Couldn't he just point the camera ahead, maybe strap it to his noggin so he had both hands free, and show us what he was seeing as he climbed. You know, like being there yourself? Any videos I make will be about the viewers' enjoyment, not a self-promotion. If you want to see what the guy making the video looks like you can check my profile/account. It's YouTube, not MeTube

Re: Youtube Channels
Hey, guys! Just thought I'd share my youtube channel here. Started a few months ago documenting flashed and I discovering, recovering and putting our spin on these old trucks. The content is a little bit of everything: from roadtripping - to tech stuff - to truck profiles - to pure silliness.
Hope you'll consider subscribing. We're uploading content twice a week for the foreseeable future. Latest video is a how-to on lowering your 60-72 c10 bench seat with new brackets. www.youtube.com/c/whitlockgarage

Re: Youtube Channels
Has anyone created a video on changing out the steering box? I'm about to tackle that later this week.

Re: Youtube Channels
.
Please note: I am posting to an old thread... I recently started to notice many cool truck videos posted from members here on Youtube. I love the Tips and Tricks, Builds, and trucks for sale. I know, members here have channels and many avenues of exposure... I hope to enhance and build upon that. Love the hobby, build more trucks... Billy Bob |
