Very nice indeed! I'm doing my LS swap right now and using the PacificFab/Tilden 4X4 crossmember. Hopefully it works out OK. I installed a 2-1/2" Skyjacker lift a couple years back.

I like the differential cover you used on the front. I want to do the same on the front and rear of my Dana 44's. Who's cover did you use?

How did you make out with the transmission being cocked?

Did you go with Advanced Adapters for the transmission to NP205? I would love to see some pictures of the set up. I am using AA for my 4l60e / NP205 combo, but I'm not quite there yet. I know the 4l80 would be stronger, but for what I'm doing, the 4l60e should be fine.

The differential cover is a TA performance cover. I have them front and back. Nice covers and made in the USA. I will mention the bolts it came with did not fit. I had to cut them all because they were too long. Kind of odd thing. The rear is a 12 bolt not Dana 44.
Part number for the front is TA-1814.

I used an ORD adapter and they built me an np205 with the proper input for the 4l80. The 4l60 will be a piece of cake. It’s shorter and the crossmember has plenty of adjustment.

I used a square body cross-member and had to do a bit of surgery on it.

Where did you get the "dummy" block? I have a bare block for that purpose but that would be a ton easier since I could move it around myself. Does it have motor mount provisions?

Picked it up from summit racing I believe. It’s a little pricey. I think about 400. It has all the bolt provisions that the real engine has so you can mock up headers, intake, etc. They make mock transmissions as well. It’s really light. About 25 lbs.

That is pretty spendy. Sounds like the kind of thing it would be cool to rent or borrow.

True. I just needed it once but I kept it in case I ever need again. I tried to find something local but no one had one.

Going to bring this back up as I’m curious if there are any new alternatives to crossmembers? Looks like Tilden went out of business recently and Dirty Dingo has theirs on the sight but doesn’t list it for sale?

Here is the Pac Fab/Tilden crossmember.
Do not see any diference from the one I used.

Awesome, that must be the same Jason that worked for PAC Fab/Tilden on his own now. I still wish there were more options though.

You might be right on that. It’s been so long since I did this. I wonder if you can just do some fab and make it work for the wider pan.
