Re: Bodywork and fender flare progress

Thank you guys. Working on the diamond plate for the inner fenders and a removable cover to go over the frame. More pics to come, gotta get it outside, looks pretty good in the sunlight.

A beautiful spring morning. A little dust, a little pollen, but looking pretty good. Finally inspected and road legal too.

Thanks! I'm liking this thing more than ever in the 14 years I've owned it. Hard to believe it's been that long already.

I really like your truck man. It looks like it is ready to throw down on a road track or terrorize some orange cones in a parking lot. Great job!

Re: Bodywork and fender flare progress

Swar nice job man ! Bet it feels good to be whole again ! I'm all aboard your new direction you took when you got those wheels . I remember the look before . I wanna do a flat/satin black paint job on my truck as well but w trim . Maybe one day I'd get a nice two tone but right now I wanna keep it simple ..... what are your plans now (besides diamond plate) ? Interior ?

Re: Bodywork and fender flare progress

Thanks guys it does handle better than ever and way too good for an old truck, even with the old manual steering box. Instead of trying to slow down on the highway on and off ramps, you can just rip through them.

Mollzyie yea get that thing blacked out! I had an epiphany when I remembered the movie "The Car" and thought about that look. I wish I had went in that direction long ago. Besides finishing the interior and diamond plate I really want to get posi and a manual steering rack so I can whip that ass around.

Re: Bodywork and fender flare progress

That's my goal man ,once I get my roof built , I can start taking truck apart and spray it as well .... everybody likes the green primer . I hate it lol . Posi and the steering will make it a good driver swar . What do u want to do w interior ? Color ? Factory door panel ? Ac ? Are u on air or static ? I'm contemplating ditching the po makeshift air on my truck and going static .... but it is pretty cool to raise truck way up (w push of a button) when u need to look or get under it .

Re: Bodywork and fender flare progress

Mollzyie, I want to paint the interior the same black pearl, with black vinyl and black steering wheel. I made a lot of interior parts out of aluminum... door panels, dash panels, etc. and the floor is also aluminum diamond plate. No AC, been considering that since the color change lol but I need to re-engineer the heating system to fit around the wheel when its dropped. It is bagged front and rear. I'd keep it if I were you and just improve on it a little.
