Dinnut, your parking/emergency brake is a set of cables that run from the pedal (in your case) to your rear drums. When you mash the pedal it mechanically pulls your brake shoe against the drums.

To do a quick check on it just look under your truck and you should see a small cable running to the back of your truck on both sides. Make sure it is tight. Odds are it has been cut or otherwise disconnected.

Here is a picture of mine (not connected) A cable runs from this T to each brake drum. The end hooks into your brake shoe.

i havent seen a kit for both front and rear for 620 that would be a steal...
this is what ive seen...
600 for rear disc brakes.
several different routes for front. piece together system like buy drop spindels for like 200 or so rotors for like 80 a piece and then calipers for 70 each i think calipers are ready to go. buy new ball joints and steering parts if you want to. need the 71-72 balljoints i believe. or i bought original spindels, 5 lug rotors, calipers and the whole setup used together for like 60-75 people sell them for. turn the rotors put new pads and youd be good to go.
you can buy the power steering parts used or new. a new box will run 200 up. close ratio box will be about 300. pump--- i got a used one for 15. new hoses will be about 40 and i dont know if you have to change something on the column or not... but a used swaybar for like 50 up and put new moog bushings. for drop you could buy drop springs up all the way around. DONT cut if you want a good ride. maybe get some 17" wheels and tires i hear they are the best performing(turning corners and such) size of wheel and tire.
