stsalvage, I saw the truck. It is the real deal...I'm sure you have run across lots of fakes, but if you were able to examine it in person, you just might have a change of heart. I've been in his place where a small percentage of the population didn't believe the authenticity of a car...made me enjoy it even more.

I have one more thing that this thing is not what you think. This is a custom C10 no deluxe what is the 1968 stainless trim under the rear window.here is another false tale on this truck if this truck is a custom truck where is the chrome vent window Chrome bar. That's what makes a custom a custom all the chrome trim the Vent windows. Now on std trucks are all black its a bottom striped trucks that had very little options. But the tel tell is the deviate bar for the driver and passenger doors that should have a chrome one. That back window belt was disconnected in 1969 1970-72 never had it.I've never seen it on any of the trucks and a custom truck should have from and chrome package if your running the side trim. Some work has been done to this truck I like to see what under that carpet see if the factory heat floor tar in still on the floor.

anytime you're in Indiana feel free to hit me up and check it out.

the 2nd owner did replace these items.
steering wheel
floor rubber
front and rear bumpers (also freshly painted)
grille surround
repainted the wheels and hubcaps

i was dumbfounded when i went to purchase it and had time to look it over. didn't hesitate and bought it on the spot.

Re: just picked this 1972 c10 up the other day

I woulda like to have seen the trade in they allowed him 1550. On. Pretty kool documentation . Nice truck. Enjoy!!

Could you send me some pictures of the original wheel more interested in color have a 71 original shortbed. Has a parchment interior and they don't sell a matching color wheel. Think is Sandalwood or something. Our column is same as yours only 3 one tree. If you would like to sell original wheel let me know..

Cool bill of sale! Noticed it was sold on the 17th of August- must be a very early 72. What's the date on the blue sticker on the drivers door? Thanks!

Thanks for posting the sales invoice, Twisted...way too cool!!!! I found that gem in the glovebox when I looked at your truck.... wish I had that stuff for my '72....I'd be excited if I could figure out where mine was sold new, but I'm having a tough time uncovering that one.

Re: just picked this 1972 c10 up the other day

Very nicely bought. I love ochre trucks. The invoice reminds me of a fellow I worked for as a young man. He had a bare bones 1969 six/3 ott , long bed and in late august of 72, all the dealers were slashing prices on leftover 72s, he decided to buy. I went with him to Jack Wilson's in Paducah and they had a left over Ochre 307/auto. It was a custom deluxe with air. I wanted him to buy it so I could have air when we were in the tobacco patch. He haggled them down to $3000 even . I thought the deal was sealed and then he bought a 73 six/ 3 ott for $2999. That truck was crap. Reason, it was the last time he said that he could buy a new truck off the showroom floor for less than 3K. Boy was he ever right.
