Big mistake buy her a fridge...that's not a personal gift in a woman's mind...

Get her a gift certificate for her favorite store and take her out for dinner...

She will ask you ...Ok...what do you want to buy? Is it a good buy?

Above all, be honest with her...trying to hide this is a roadway to misery....

I got lucky on mine. I had wanted to buy mine 6 years ago, but my neighbor beat me to it. Fast forward and I had already bought my wife a documented 145k 71 F250 like her dad had when she was growing up (Ford family as my FIL worked for the same Ford dealer body shop for 37+ years) that is stupid clean. My neighbor drove by this spring when I was working on it and we talked about me being a car guy and discussed his impending sale of the 71 C10 he beat me to. July 5th he came by in it and said it was for sale. At $1200 I was in and ran inside to tell the wife. Knowing I had been looking for the right one/time for 15 years, her only question was how much. I said the only problem was the price. She laughed and said do it. The deal is her F250 stays as it is and I have to keep up the work on it then I can do what I want on the C10...No brainer! I grew up with the 67-72 trucks. #Housedivided

Start looking at and showing her trucks that cost 5 times the price of that one. She'll be glad your only spending $1500! Worked for me now I have 6 of them! Lol

I do this from time to time- pull into the ford dealership just a few blocks from us and look at the $50-80,000 F250s

Just be glad you still have a wife to convince , its been close to 2 years since mine died and I would give up all my trucks if she could have been healthy and still here . She loved my cars and trucks too .
