I am partial to those 67 front ends with the small window cabs, LWB, SWB. All metal differentiates them quite bit more.

Most desirable IMO is any truck that is legit with original spid in place. I'm a 4wd
guy because I've always been a Jeep guy. I looked for 3 years for a real SWB 4x4
Cheyenne Super so I'm kinda partial to those trucks.

Finding an unmolested highly factory optioned 2wd is a winner but now a days thats challenging and likely expensive.

When I was a kid, a man that worked for my dad for many years doing construction had a red 1972 2wd shortbed stepside Cheyenne with black interior. I got to ride in that truck a few times, and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I still remember the smell of the interior. After he died, I would see his son and then later his grandson driving it around town. I contacted the grandson recently, and he said they got rid of the truck years ago. Owning a truck that you have a sentimental attachment to seems like the most desirable to me. You kind of have to luck into that though. On a side note, the owner of that red truck liked to say how it was registered as a '73, but it was clearly a '72 body style.

Anything without rust, configuration doesn’t matter. Most options can be bolted on and off. Rust doesn’t “unbolt” so easily

Thoughts on 2wd blazers vs 4wd? I feel like the 4x's are more sought after now a days even though the 2wds are lower in production numbers. I'm getting ready to sell my blazer and I feel like I'm going to have to let it go for a less than desirable number.

Suggest you list it on Bring a Trailer. You will get what someone is willing to pay. It is possible to add a reserve if you wish. Listing cost is reasonable and final fees are paid by buyer. Classics seem to get top dollar there.

My truck is desirable to me because of the year, and family connection. I also like 4x4's and shortbeds. As far as the general popularity a Cheyenne Super in 2wd or 4wd will bring the most money, more options the better.

My late father bought his 87 when it was 1 year old and my son drive it to HIGH School.

I’m the odd ball. To me nothing better than a 67 GMC SWB. The grill with the embossed logo made for 1 year and the way the hood flows looks so much better. Just something you never see on the road and when you do it catches your attention especially with a small window cab.

My grand children play that game a lot and I have noticed quite a few familiar looking vehicles along with large swaths of Southern California, Los Angeles in particular .

The other day I took them to the Pacific Ocean and one of them noticed some local each thing and they both jabbered on about it awhile .

2WD, original SWB, high option trucks are always sought after.

The trucks below are my favorites. I have had the red and white one for 33 years and I could have it back to bone stock in a day. I just got bored and lowered it, but I think about going back to PO1's often.

The longhorn is my daily. I am building a 454 for it now.

One of the most valuable 2WD trucks would be my dream truck. it is waiting to be built. I have all the parts, some assembly required. Black, 72 SWB, big block, bucket seat, loaded. Of course an original would be like pure gold.

The most desirable to me is the 72 Cheyenne SWB, 307, 3 speed in Okra with white top, saddle interior that I had in high school in 86-87 time frame, sold it for $3k to buy a 68 Camaro that I still own....I kept track of that truck until about 5 years ago when the guy that owned it died and the truck was sold 2 or 3 times in a weeks time before I knew it was for sale or chase it down??!! Truck still looked exactly the same as it did in high school except the owner added a slimline bed cover to it, even had the same 8" steel wheels with truck rally caps on it. I know the truck went to east TN, then I heard to KY...not sure about the latter....but just due to sentimental fun factor, that truck remains my most desirable.

They couldn't even install a BBC in a 67 because they knew the frames would crack

WHAT ? Who ever told you that ? So in 68 they cut the top rail of the frame thinner to fit a big block in a frame that would crack ?
