Exactly. I've come to believe that these threads exist so that other members can have an excuse to be ignorant about other members. It's always the same people saying the same jerk things about the same modifications.

^^ same here ... I've seen really good threads reported and deleted or moved after 1 post because they deviated ever so slightly .. not saying I want this "totally legit" thread moved or deleted ...
