Mated to the turbo 350 and sat in the frame, the intake is a performer (used) that I cleaned with mag wheel acid cleaner.

Re: 1972 C10 LWB Georgia Project
I bought this comple350/350 chassis that was untouched, never even had new hoses. power steering, all cables, belts, brackets, bolts for 225 just to use to study routings and extra parts. Will use both pieces for another project later.

Re: 1972 C10 LWB Georgia Project
Again trying to keep a somewhat stock clean look to engine compartment, HEI added and MSD wires with looms to keep them straight, headers need a few small spots for clearance on driver side

Re: 1972 C10 LWB Georgia Project
Needed to make some room in my shop and check ride height so I set the box back on, 4/6 drop is what I have. I think it will be good once cab and other parts are added for weight.

Re: 1972 C10 LWB Georgia Project
Tipped cab up and used Smart brand rubberized uncoating, it dried fast and very hard yet rubber. You could easily paint over it, I choose to leave it black being its a driver truck

Re: 1972 C10 LWB Georgia Project
I am now up to current day, this weekend the cab will go back onto frame with new mounts, we will fit core support and front fenders, then pull back apart to start prepping for paint. Box will wait until spring I'm guessing. Weather permitting I hope to be done by this time next year then clean and detail for following spring and driving. Keep following.

Re: 1972 C10 LWB Georgia Project
Great write up! I'm pretty close to you. Might have to ask you about the engine machining you had done. I'll be looking for a shop in the future to do some engine work for me.

Door jambs and door inner painted this weekend, new seals here today should be swinging by weds. Time to assemble a few things before exterior paint.

Re: 1972 C10 LWB Georgia Project
From these photos your paint work looks great! Did you do all the paint work in your garage or did you use a paint booth? Care to elaborate? I hope I get the courage the spray my truck myself. So far I’ve only sprayed epoxy primer and from what I hear, the final result is all based on the prep work.

Re: 1972 C10 LWB Georgia Project
Everything has been done in my brothers garage, over spray has been a problem. some cheap painters plastic is a must. Epoxy primers and urethane 2k primers from Omni used. The plan is to use BASF paints and clears, using HVLP guns. a wet floor helps with dust control and wet sanding clears has been a must as well. We have been unable to keep all dust out of the clears. Make sure to drain compressor before paint process and make sure to have good regulators and dryers inline.
