If so,what size is the footprint of the feet? If I sound too nosy,it's because of all the junk lifts out there.I don't want to get stuck with one! Thanks,Mike. |

Re: What about the shops
My little home shop is a 24x24 stuffed with the 69 and all kinds of stuff. During the mowing season that equipment occupies space. And some camping gear is stored in there. I have to back the 69 out to get another one in to do regular maintenance on when it's not raining. A couple of weeks ago I put the mowing equipment in storage until next year which freed up a bit of room. At the moment I have room to stand the truck bed up and start blowing it apart to repair. Buuuuuuuuuuuut, my daughter just gave notice she may have to move back home here shortly which means a lot of her things will have to be stored in the shop, again. Last winter I had the 69 + Dad's Caddy stored in there all winter. It was really tight. A lift would be handy but I have an 8' ceiling.
I am thankful for what I have. I wouldn't know how to act with a BIG shop.

Re: What about the shops
This is what I have for storage and working in. It is 36x48. I told the wife we should have built it bigger!

Re: What about the shops
I believe its 9 feet. I can get my flatbed between the post and the bed is 8 feet wide. I like the bend pak best of the two. I can get more height with it and a 9,000 lb. load. I also can narrow the ramps also. Check on the Bend Pak website.

Re: What about the shops
Id love a lift. My workshop garage is an 18x28 pole style building. Right in the middle the truss is 8ft off the ground. No room to lift =(. I had my brother come look at it, he's a builder. He said he could modify it some, but it still wouldn't give me much of a lift.
When we built it regulations would only allow the footprint we have, but making it taller didn't occur to me for some reason ... Hindsight lol. Ive been in oldirons (Dennis) shop. Its like going in to a football stadium compared to mine haha. |
