Installed a Texas Speed stage 2 cam. Came with new valve springs, pushrods, front cover, and gaskets. I think installed corvette front drive assembly, and changed to a LS3 style intake

Got the cowl welded in this past weekend. Mostly filled in the old spot welds that held in the original cowl. Looking for a place to get OEM doors around the Houston area, any suggestions?

Picked up a stock GM sway bar with new rubbers. Heard it is a huge upgrade to increase handling. Name: IMG_1925.jpg

Original 71 doors, that are practically flawless besides mirror holes and some veryminor dents.

Do you know the paint code for the original color on that truck? I have a tailgate that I bought that is that color.

Magnaflows can sound pretty nice. I've also been a fan of Borla and Corsa mufflers too. Little more subtle at idle/low RPM, but really open up when the engine breathes. Almost no wrong answer though when it comes to mufflers. I always use band clamps for them for a while until I'm happy with how they sound.

Sounds good, Im looking for a muffler that has a great sounding idle, but doesn't drone at highway speed. Is there a particular series of the magna-flow or bola that sounds the best?

I do not have the original paint code, but I was told the truck was "yellow 81348"

Re: 71 c10 restoration

I used the Borla Pro XS mufflers. Here is a clip (not my truck). You can tell they're a little more mellow, less hollow sounding, if that makes sense. To me they sound like a mix of american muscle and european power.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVza-rhB7H4

But picking mufflers is like choosing paint colors haha.
