Re: How can I make it look better?? '86 C10

I had an 81 almost the same a little lighter grey though. I’d put a chrome rear step bumper on it. Front bumper guards on it. A year correct hood ornament (factory gm) replace the side modding an leave it alone. I’m partial to factory original look.

Replace the 'chrome' lace w/plain black rubber lacing of both front & rear glass. Pitch running boards they are bulky & too short. Polish & or replace the lenses w/nicer ones due to fading. Stock rear bumper. A nice semi gloss black paint in the wheel wells/rear end frame areas. Lowering it w/a slight rake, then rubber rake w/taller tires on the rear. How smooth is paint surface? Polished/glazed/sealant to a shimmering shine will really wake it up. Mothers (or favorite brand) metal polish everything on the exterior carefully. Cover that w/sealant too when finished.

Ditch the running boards, floor mats, all the diamond plate, steering wheel cover, and rear step bumper.
Install all new mouldings ($150 retail new), rear sport bumper ($60 pick n pull).
Lower it 5/7 ($450 ebay parts)
Keep the whitewalls on the rallys.
OPTIONAL: Front bumper guards ($15 pick n pull)
For about $700 and some work that thing would look great!
