Lane Tech had Chevy Impalas, '63s and '64s -- last years' models donated or leased by one of the big Chicagoland GM dealers, probably as a tax write-off.
I'm not sure what Hollywood High's Drivers ed cars were, I never got in them. Maybe they were Mopars.
If the May Co. provided Javelins [with makeshift dual contols] that was a pretty hot car for that role. They may have de-tuned the engines so students didn't get into trouble. I wasn't too inpressed by its performance, but the Instructor didn't let me get too wild. I could use the downshift technique coming down hills with that automatic. Is that called Lockup?

I've seen some Chevy's in shows of late. There's a 72 Cheyenne, I think a Super in Shameless. It Chases women, specifically Fiona and she's There's a 71-72 Cheyenne in True Detective, and it chases Indians.

Wow, that is so cool. Takes some big ones to willing to do that. I don't think I could let mine go and it has no story.

Yes sir, 9.75”s on all fours and 16.5” in diameter. I did price the super traxions and they’re around $330ish a piece. After finding that out I put the turbines in storage and threw a set of 16" American racing aluminum wheels on the truck. Gotta love Fiona

Believe me, it will be a hard decision to make. The truck is pretty clean, highly optioned, and not all hacked up. I’ll never find another one with as good of a story.

If the grandson wants to buy it, and you are so fair that you would consider it as a matter of heart, let him show his heart by finding you another one you like, then he can have yours. Makes it a win win two way street all around.

Re: Found Out My Truck Was In A Movie

Ask Grandson if Grandpa's garage still has the license plates that were on the truck...
Or get a replacement set with the same tag number.

Bring it all the way back!

Funny you say that. The guy I bought the truck from (second owner) had a set of blue plates in the cab of the truck when I went to look at it the first time. He wasn’t sure if they were for the truck but I think they may have been. Fortunately, I know the second owner personally so I’ll be able to get them from him.

I just saw that truck this week on the show. Started watching it about a month ago, and am almost caught up.

My neighbors daughter just got a jeep for delivering the mail for the post office. Dual steering wheels and gas/brake pedals. There are more than one application for these setups.

The real money is in the ten-speed that Skywalker is jamming on, not the truck or car!

That is still pretty cool! The movie is definitely a cheesy car movie but it is cool to watch if you're actually into cars/trucks.

Here are some shots of the truck from the CHiPs episode. The truck still has the camper mounts in front of the side view mirrors on it (picture number 4).

I love the bumper guards. When I paint the truck I will definitely get the bumper guard/bar re-chromed and put it back on.
