D29 and DG4 Mirrors

Between those two, I prefer the 38-5820. It seems more similar to factory DG4 mirrors.

I prefer the smaller ones too. Close enough to original for me.

Yeah same. They look a little tinney but can’t go wrong for that money really.

Well I was gonna but em and Just hold them next to it if I’m honest. If they look alright and give me good rear view I’m happy. My truck has been de chromed so I’d be getting them painted to match the bumpers anyway!

Edit also try searching for anything mirror wise I. The uk and all’s you get is the smaller ‘sport’ style mirrors really

that's exactly what I did with these.. although not correct, I liked them and wanted to see how they looked..

I have since acquired some 71 and 72 OE style that will actually install.. I am also planning to dechrome this one, already acquired both painted bumpers and factory grill guard.. but since body is white, may go with black trim

Ah I see what you did there, It’s enough to know without drilling holes in it. They may have to wait a few weeks though as my clutch pedal is at the top and I’ve got abit if a road trip coming up (uk style so less than 500miles!)

Im bringing this back to the top because I have a question about the small arm at the top. On the 71 the arm tab is bent under at the door, and on the 72 the arm is flat and mounts a bit higher on the door mounting flat (ish).

Would that be the only difference on the DG4's between the 71 and 72's, the small arm?

The 71 and older ones mount different and have longer “legs”
