Sorry to hear about your partner problems. I went through similar problems twice (never again ).

I also would be interested in being a test marketer for the original size step side rear lights.

Are the front turn signal lights going to be clear or yellow?

Thanks, Don.

Cool LED Lights

Hey Joel, I have custom car trailers that you tow behind motorcycles or cars if you want. I send Ryan several emails asking about getting some information on your lights. I am in need of custom LED lights for the working tail lights. Example the tail lights on my corvette trailer actually work but I would like to replace them with LED units, they are currently just 1157 bulbs and the lenses are made of red fiberglass. I am working on a new lense design made out of plastic. The problem is that I can't figure out the wiring scheme for the LED's. I am not asking for any trade secrets just some idea of how to get the wiring started. I already have the shape that I need and the board to get started. But having problems finding the proper LED's to use. Any information you can give me would be great. I would ask you to design/build them but I cannot place a order big enough for you to make a profit, so I am having to do it myself.

Thanks....Joey

JMAC05, I didn't have any problems with the lights. Ryan asked me to make some interior pieces for his truck in exchange for making me a custom third brake light strip. I sent them and he begged me to be patient and promised me he would make it up to me. That was 10 months ago. He seemed like a nice kid but that's what he seemed like to me- A KID!. Oh well, thats the ONLY deal I got burned on here. Again, good luck with your new business should you decide to pursue it!

i finally ordered the lights through frank, honestly the reason i didnt order them sooner was ruemster, seemed kinda flakey, but since hes done with them i decided to try them. If any body doesnt know about franks pick up parts, let me tell you, he is a great bussiness man. He will chat on the phone and help you with whatever questions you need answered, i highly recommend him.

dtlilly,
The front turn signals are similar to the tail lights in that the
lens of the LED is water clear, but the light emitted will be orange/amber. You could use a clear turn signal lens, and it would
still be amber colored light. When I can fit the stepside into my
schedule, I'll let you know, and you can test a set for me.

70c10,
Who'd you buy your tails from?
I'll make you a 3rd brake light to go in the cargo light. I can't put
the white LEDs on it, though as i don't have the right ones. You'll
just have the hird brake light. I think I may end up having to clean
up more than a few messes I didn't make. I can't tell you when I'll
have it done. I am doing a bit of moving an my LED stuff is
incapacitated right now. I should be able to have it to you sometime next month. I am sorry he jerked you around.

lost wages,
Frank is a super guy, I agree. If Ryan has screwed someone, I will
dor whatever I can to make it up to them. Just let me know what
I need to do.
By The Way
The boards that Frank and ECE are selling are not hand made in
any way. the only process done by hand now is actually insertion
of the LEDs and other parts on to the board. Outside of that everything is handled by machine. They are as high a quality as
any consumer type electronic device you'd buy at a wal mart, or a
best buy or what ever.

padreisla
Send me a Private message giving me more detail. I can tell you
what you need to get and how to do it. If you have more than 25 or 30, it might be cheaper for you to let me do it, considering buying the parts and actually assembling them. The assembly is
the biggest killer if you have to do them by hand.
The wiring schematic is actually vey simple...

Even Better!!

The LED TLs were excellent before, you just had to be careful installing them so you didn't break them. I see my latest ones are improved to insure that can't happen now. I still add a couple little tips to my lights to insure safe installation and satisfaction...and they are still $120 a pair + $10 shipping.

Oh and remember, the LEDs are red, so if you put them behind clear lenses, they light up the entire lens RED from top to bottom.

jmac05, I did my deal directly with Reumster. It's not your fault at all. You shouldn't have to right HIS wrongs. You sound VERY reputable which is what all the members here are looking for. Your customer service sounds excellent and you don't owe me anything.

I know I am not obligated, but I will do it anyway. When I am
done, I'll get in touch with you. Send me an email so I have
it :

You can absolutely use the clear lenses. In my
opinion, the red lenses still make a better light overall.

have to put my .02 cents in... i had a problem w/ mine and it was corrected PROMPTLY by randy at d2m technologies. as mine was being fixed at thier shop down in texas he went ahead and sent me a replacement so i could still make it to a show i was wanting to go to on the w/end!!now that's pretty cool! he fixed my old board and sent it back to me. not long after i started having problems (the problem was there was 5-7 lights that were'nt lighting up) w/ the other light assembly. i sent the newer lighting problem board to him and he fixed it also. to top it all off he agreed to let me keep the first replacement board and in addition sent me another board to make an extra set that i put back in the cabinet for a future project! all i needed to do was send him $80 bucks for the wholesale price (i believe) of my extra set. if anyone is thinking about buying a set of these lights i would strongly endorse these guy's!! thier customer service is second to none!!!!

Thank you for the endorsement.

Just so everyone knows:
I design the boards under my company name JMC LED Lighting.
Randy @ D2m Technologies takes the cad design I do, and has
the board created, and sends them to either customers, or our
distributors. For Chevy/GMC from 60-72, Early Classic Enterprise,
as well as Frank's Pickmup parts are the only distributors. We
also are in process of creating 73-87 Chevy Fleetside, and 64.5-
66 Ford Mustang. I am finishing up the design for the 67-68
Mustang. I know I said the "F" word, but they should be money
makers. I have been at this for about a year and a half. I still have
yet to recieve a check for all that work. But, National Parts Depot
will be carrying the Ford car and truck parts. I am trying to get
them to do Chevy cars, too. The guy I did the Mustang parts for
is very excited about them, I need to get a set to the chevy cars
guy next.
Since day one, My goal has been nothing less that exceptional
customer service. I hate being jerked around after buying a
product. I also hate buying something that turns out being junk.
That's why guys like BUXMAN66 can say what he has said. I will
do what I have to to make it right. Dave @ ECE has had to take
some TL back from walk in customers because they couldn't get
them to work right. The 72's are, after all, 32 years old. The wiring
on these things can be bad to begin with. I have called his
customers myself trying to resolve issues myself. I may be a
president, but I have an obligation to everyone that buys
my product, period. That's why I warranty them for as long as
you own your truck. I don't like buying crap, and I won't sell it. If it
breaks, whether I did it or the customer did it, because of
something I did, I will fix it.
I am going to start a new thread for this, but I need help. I am
going to work on the front turn signals again, but I need someone
in Riverside, Corona, Norco, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. My
truck's wiring is screwed up right now, otherwise I could do it. If
anyone is willing to fix my wiring I will give them a set of PROTO
turn signals when they are done. I tried to fix the turn signal cam
and actuator. I had to stop in the middle of working on it, and
haven't been able to fix it.
If you have anything from either me Or Ryan Reum(Reumster) I
will warranty it for as long as you own your truck.
Thank you everyone...
