Re: Dash pad photos

Excellent. That "soft touch" vinyl is only available at an upholstery shop I would imagine? Thanks for the info.

Re: Dash pad photos

Did Astro-Balls' posts originally have pictures? If so, what happened to them? Seems like they would've been very helpful for many of us who came across this thread.

Re: Dash pad photos

This is going back a while, but AstroBalls (Mitch) gave me the encouragement to 'reskin' my dash pad, and I posted pics when I did it.
Here's a link: (Not sure if these are the sorts of pics you're looking for)

Sadly Mitch passed away a few years ago, you could send him yours and he would fix it , also did a nice French seam if you wanted

Re: Dash pad photos

My buddy and next door neighbor and upholstery guy recovered a factory dash pad for me.
It was in good shape except for one small place.
He top stitched it in orange thread.
I put it back on with just the nuts and it fit well enough, and was tight enough to the dash that I didn't even put the screws along the bottom, that gives it a really smooth look.
This is the only picture I could find at the moment.

So sorry to hear this, I didn't even know...
I only knew Mitch through this board (never met him inperson), seemed like a really great guy.
Just another reminder to enjoy each day as best we can...
