Re: What are your goals this year for your truck?
I think this year I’ll finally get the rear brakes done and maybe new exhaust system, Would like to do fuel injection but I probably would have to find somewhere else to live after the wife found out

Re: What are your goals this year for your truck?
Again? Didn’t someone ask this last New Years?
Anyway, my goals are to get my radio back in, and replace the carpet. Tear out the original bed wood, and media blast the inside of the bed. After that, prime and paint the inside of the bed and install the new bed wood. Done. If, and I mean a huge IF, I get that all done, I’ll get the rockers replaced and start finishing the exterior. We all need goals |

Re: What are your goals this year for your truck?
I have a lot of little stuff to finish up because of a rush to drive it last fall. The biggest things are getting the shift points up on the 2004R trans and rebuilding the rear with a Posi carrier and 4.10 gears. Then get the a/c together and working, pull and reinstall windshield as the trim isn’t sitting flush, along with about 30 other small items.

Re: What are your goals this year for your truck?
I hope to get all the body work done and in primer. Would like to get the roof painted white and the interior painted so I can install new carpet and my seat cover. I am changing the paint color and would like that done before the carpet and seat go in.

Re: What are your goals this year for your truck?
I want to get all of the mechanical bugs worked out. Several of my gauges aren't working, my carb needs adjusting and it desperately needs a tune-up and everything serviced. I plan to change ALL the fluids and start making a list of what needs to be fixed in order for her to be completely reliable... I've only had my truck for 3 days, so I am just getting started.
I also have several big decisions to make in regards to the direction I am going to take on this project. Next year I will worry about starting on body work and cosmetics. |

Re: What are your goals this year for your truck?
Pull my heater core and rad and get them rebuilt. Been driving with bare floor since I installed my buckets console as i didn't want to put in the new carpet until heater core redone. Get the new carpet and new door weatherstrips installed and do the headlight relay upgrade thing and install my new headlights. My wife gave me some money for Christmas for a new steering wheel so trying to decide between one of the new 15 inch original style steering wheel or the Chevelle one pictured here.

Re: What are your goals this year for your truck?
I don't plan to do much to the 67 this year. I currently use it as my good weather daily driver. My plans for the year are
1. Pick a color, either 505 Dark Green or 507 Light Blue 2. Rebuild the front suspension and convert to disc brakes 3. Try to convince myself not to LS swap it

Re: What are your goals this year for your truck?
My goal is to install air conditioning. I had the evaporator and blower housing restored by Original Air and bought their stage 3 kit, which has all of the underwood components, and that stuff is arriving next week. And I bought very good condition used diverter, S-box, and heater box from forum members here. This job is my top priority, and I've been forbidding myself from doing other stuff to my truck until I get this done. After I get it done, I have a rather large to-do list of individual little jobs.

Re: What are your goals this year for your truck?
For my 67 GMC 3500 1 ton, I have the following goals:
1.) Get the front end completely reassembled with the rust-free and dent-free 67 fenders I found this past year. 2.) Get the mint-condition 67 hood installed. 3.) Get the heater system fully operational. 4.) Get the engine to stop running rich (carb maybe). 5.) Fix the horn 6.) Fix the last few small electrical issues 7.) Drive that sucker several times a week!

Re: What are your goals this year for your truck?
Will start the restomod on my 72 the end of this month. Really want to finish by the end of the year. Have most of the parts so just need to take apart, cut, weld and reassemble. Paint is the only thing I am not doing and what I am most worried about. Here in California nobody wants to touch the old stuff for a reasonable amount. I do not want or need a $30k+ paint job for a vehicle that I am going to drive.

Re: What are your goals this year for your truck?
Drive it. (Even if it's only around my property)
And take Mom a ride. My Dad's truck and has been sitting since he passed in 1987. Swapped in a different 1971 307 over Christmas and engine will run off of a gas can and truck's electrical wiring. Finally making progress!

Re: What are your goals this year for your truck?
Fuel system overhaul: one of the saddle tanks leaks and the in-cab tank will get reconditioned, new sock and probably painted black. Would like to replace the spool of rubber lines going to the saddle tanks as well.

Re: What are your goals this year for your truck?
I have a rear differential issue and either completely rebuild it or swap it out with a posi that I had in another 72 1/2 ton truck . and do a complete brake job.

Get it on the road!
Replace floor, cab corners, pillars, & doors. Run brake lines and a rear mount gas tank. |

Re: What are your goals this year for your truck?
For the 68 step side get it finished and back on the road.
For the ramp truck get the disc brakes on the front of it and hook up e brakes put the 4 barrel intake & carb on it. Some other small stuff. They are never done though! 71 all it needs is to be driven more.
