That looks like a quality made core , I have to ask was the weight around the same as the origanal ,or should I say the thickness of the copper/ brass, because thats also good price for a brass/copper heater core . and being I repaired my original one a few years back I have been looking for a good just in case replacement.

When I bought my 71 suburban the PO had just replaced the heater core. I then put in Classic Air AC, so it came back out. Don't know if there is anything special about it, but it fit my rig just fine. I think its all aluminum. You can have it for some shipping cost if you think it will help you out.

All of the ones I have had tested and used I have never had any problems with. You will be fine.

Agree with LockDoc. I would do the same thing. Most replacement are less rows and probably are thinner metal anyways. Quantity over quality is the standard on most over the shelf parts these days. My general rule is to refurbish old parts unless OEM is available.
