We have thought about it. Will be testing how well the veneer looks on the textured surface of the gauge panel with a spare one I have hanging around. Currently I am working on a related project that I will share here in the coming months..

You have to Ned...you just have to make it work! It will carry the look all the way a cross the dash. Even if you have to mount the veneer to a thin piece of steel or plastic and then glue that to gage cluster.
