Where Cheyenne Supers produced in large numbers by GM?

Can anyone confirm floor insulation pads under the seat on Cheyenne?
Supers have it but im not sure Cheyenne does.

Thanks Tyler - copy, I understood you were combining them, and you're correct - that's a good way to look at it - i.e. Super was kind of an extension of the Cheyenne anyway, so looking at it as a Cheyenne and Cheyenne Super together is a good way to capture it too.

No worries! I was afraid I wasn’t that clear on it, made sense in my head but the distance between my head and my finger tips tends to get things a little murky

I recently bought a cab and frame for my build but was only after the cab. the glove box door was gone so the spid is history. When i started removing the old carpet to access the rust, i found an extra piece of insulation under the seat. I havnt ever seen that before and was a little puzzled when i did. My cab had the lower woodgrain trim and the thin piece that goes around the back of the cab under the rear window. It is a factory air cab with non tilt and deluxe knobs on the dash and a headliner with the chrome trim. It also has the rubber pieces that go between the cab and fenders and from the vin stamp on the frame, it is a 1969 model. But something i dont understand is it had power drum brakes. is that common?

Drum brakes correct til 71. Power brakes were an option.

So do you think its a cheyenne or a cheyenne super? It also has the cargo light.

69-70 with headliner, cargo lamp and extra insulation is a CST
Some cst trucks didnt get a headliner, not sure about the cargo lamp
In general they will have both.

No, and somehow think the are not reproduced. Put a wanted to buy ad in the parts section and some of the guys that sell used parts might a have set they'd let go.

Greg, did that resource indicate whether that was specific to Supers only or Cheyennes and Cheyenne Supers? Thanks for posting, that is exactly the pic I was thinking of.

I'm pretty sure SSTim sent me those pics years ago and he sent them cause that time I was wanting to buy a Super and he said those rubbers were exclusive to Supers and thats one of the ways to tell if truck was real Super. My 1970 Purple Longhorn CST had those rubbers as well and in '70 as you know CST was the top trim level.

Both my Cheyenne K20 and my old 72 Cheyenne C10 Parts truck had those rubbers too.

That clears it up once and for all (for me anyway) - well I guess it was actually cleared up several posts ago. CST is a Z84, and although the top trim level in 69-70, the newer, higher level, YE9, Super got it also. So Z84 and YE9 had the seals. Good to know. Good catch Eric and thanks for the pics Greg. You can make them.

I thought about that but most of mine is already gone so I would need a pattern to go off of. Maybe I can get one of the guys that has one to make me a cardboard pattern and do it that way

Floor insulation on a 70 cst, i believe cst which is equivalent to cheyenne and above has this insulation. Its the same type as on the foot area floor of all models.

The problem with that rubber at the doors is its a huge project installing it on the metal that fastens to the body. I think you have to lace it on the metal with wire and in some areas the rubber is 2 pieces stapled together, not sure where you get a stapler for that, prob have to hand staple it with drilled holes and crimped wire.

It’s a project but a staple gun will work. I fired the staples into a supporting block of rubber then folded the brads along the far side.
