Im 18, i have been working on stuff since i can remeber. started off with bikes, went to remote control planes...to dirt bikes and once i started driving cars were it. i rebuilt the 6.2 diesel w/ banks kit in my 84 blazer an lots of other stuff. my short employment history started with working in a bike shop, i was there for about a year and a half and i am now at "Alpha Home Medical supplies" which is great, i work on electric wheel chairs and scooters, as well as everything else related. my current thing is my 68 C-10, its in the early stages of restoration, i actually bought the truck for the motor that i was building. plans are listed below...

I am 48 with a Business Degree from The University of Richmond. For the past 17 years my job has been that of a Purchasing Agent for a multi-national pharmaceutical company. Been working on cars since I got my first ride in 1970, a 1969 Fiat 850 Spyder. Prior to that, I ticked my parents off on a regular basis by taking everyting apart from my father's power tools, to the lawn mower to my watch to my sister's Barbie furniture. I have finally gotten to where I can get most of the stuff back together and working that I take apart.

I`m 28 yrs old. I`ve been messing with cars since I was 13. I`m a mechanic for a Harley Davidson dealer. I just bought my truck a few months back after playing with bikes for a while. Still playing with them but the truck is cheaper.

I bough My truck when I was 15 I am turning 19 on Wednesday(17th). I am still in the middle of putting my truck back together I have got to have at least $6000 into it now. And I am getting My 355 built right now. It's another $2500. I wanted the motor tranny and diff done right. I watched the guy build my diff and I am going to go watch the guy who is building my motor tomorrow night. He is going to show me how to degree (sp) in a cam. I have earned every penny that has gone into this truck My self no parent freebies here.

A Basic Rule: Everything will cost twice as much as you though it would.

Still have another year and a half left if all goes well as far as classes go.

Trying to go into aviation, within two months I should have all the ratings I need... and it'll just be trying to get past the horrible job market Guess I should practice asking people if they want some fries with that...

You certainly got my attention; that's quite a collection. Is the '65 modified? It has always been my understanding that none of the 340/365 or fuelies came with factory air, due at least in part to cooling issues. Also being tuned for peak performance, there were additional weight and complexity concerns, not to mention higher rpms than the compressors of the day may have preferred.

im 33 - been in love with cars since i was little and my dad did all his own work, body work, paint mostly on his favorite car 63' chevy impala ss - he had at least 6 diff ones.
im an automation engineer - my son says i build robots which is a pretty close example - design, build and install machinery
previously worked designing heavy equipment (excavators) but they just didnt want to pay so i took my skills elsewhere
so i sit behind the desk part of the time and turn wrenches another part
our truck (me and my son jakob) is a father son project even though he is only 5 he loves to work on it - he wire brushed the inside of the rusty bed with the cordless drill while i was at work
so he is already starting out on the right foot

Hi, my name is Paul, and I'm addicted to old Chevys.

I'm 33 and have been involved with mechanical work all my life. I started about 6 yrs old, handing my dad tools under the car. I putzed with snowmobiles, go-karts, etc. while growing up. Got a degree in Mechanical Engineering and designed equipment for off-shore oil rigs. Through the years I have also been on dirt track pit crews, and I worked as a mechanic in a local speed shop for a while too.

I love working on vehicles, knowing I can take something that isn't working and get it running again. I only wish I could do body work!

I've already got my 3-1/2 year old son excited about 'daddy's truck'. He spends all the time I do working on it!

Just turned 31. Bought a 72 blazer when I was 18 and sold it 4 years later always saying I'd get another one. I found a 71 Jimmy at Ft. Hood, TX years later and have had it since then and Jimmy and I have driven across the country and back. Have been an Army officer in the Armor/Cavalry field. M1 Abrams don't have as good off-the-line pickup as my Jimmy does but the gas mileage is probably about the same- if it were all about that I'd buy a riceburner anyway...

!964 & 1965 you could get a 365 hp AIR car
Has a large diameter pulley on air compressor to slow it down.
It is stock needing restoration, but I have everything for it.
I would imagine the compressors blew up quite regularly

The L88 I built as a clone in 1979. Has a new 69 type L88 motor
M22 4spd & 4.88 posi rear. Factory over the counter headers on it with GM part # stamped on them. Has road draft tube on motor.
I have the no radio dash & heater block off plates & dual pin brake calipers for it. They are not on it at this time.
I have had the car 27 yrs & put 4000 miles on it. Will pull both front wheels off the grd in stock form.

I'm 22 and have owned my 69 since late 1998, geez, almost 5 years... wow. Been a work in progress since I got her.

Have worked in automotive parts since mid 1998, lucky since I definately abused my priviledges. hehehe... Currently at a dealership parts counter.
