Ohh, I was actually quite happy he didn’t show up! I didn’t really want to get rid of it but the money would have been nice. Yes those are ruins... Chaco culture historical park to be exact.
Here’s one with me and the kids from RCR last year before the coke 600. That was a dream weekend for me.
And here’s one from when I bought the Camaro a couple years ago. I hate this picture sooo much. I look like a 10 year old with no beard. My wife and the car are both far more photogenic than I’ll ever be. Facial hair is a must for me.
You’ll probably all notice I own a lot of Chevy T-shirts.

Re: Show Your Mug - Family Time

First one is my better 99% at what I'm pretty sure was a party 5 or so years ago. Still have no idea why she keep on hanging around but I definitely got the better end of the deal after 21 years..

Second is of our 4 devils.... Don't judge a book by its cover.."they're concentrated evil" (Time Bandits) . They're actually great kids so I guess we didn't mess em up too bad.. This pic looks to be about 10 years ago. The little guy in the pic is 6'3' now and still growing. As I write this, the dog "Dozer" (as in sleeping a lot - not as in D9) is sleeping in front of the fireplace as he does every night for the last 10 yrs.

Last one is from Signal Hill in Hollister Hills SRVA from a year ago when he just hit 6'. He's getting close to catching me on the bikes. I may have another season before I need to start wearing a roost guard .

Don't be hard on yourself . It always feels strange taking facial hair off. I wondered if that was Chaco.

How did you get so lucky? A lovely wife and she gave you a beautiful family... lucky S.O.B!! I don't think a photographer has ever had to say "Smile" before taking a picture. I think dozer just lays around waiting for the next adventure. And your son looks like he is thinking, "I'm going to get faster than you sooner than you think"!

Thanks for the kind words about my oldest sister. She was one in a million and all she did was be herself, be very true to herself.

Kingsolver, I don't think you could ever say anything wrong or too much. I appreciate every word you said.

Re: Show Your Mug - Family Time

Ill throw a few up.

Me in 77. Me and my honey, I believe were 25 (we met 35 years ago last month). Lastly me on the left, my brother in the middle, and my honey on the right. I think this pic was last summer. I dont have that gut anymore, gonna try like heck to keep it off because I feel so much better.

I don't like to have my picture taken so not a lot to chose from. I have close to no school pics because I never told my parents when picture day was.

EDIT ... Good Grief! So ginormous and no idea why the one is flipped. Its not like that on my puter, and it was before cell phones lol.

EDIT ... Fixed

Kind of weird, I was thinking the same thing. See, I get pretty cagey about photos of my family on the internet, as in I never post them. For some reason that I don't really understand, I jumped at the chance to show off my family. I guess It's like sharing pictures and stories of my family with my extended family. Lord knows Im here every day at least once although Ive been in a bit of a funk recently and haven't felt like Ive had much to contribute. It still feels like home here though.

This was a great thread idea Tim. Thank you for sharing your family with us.

My mother survived an aneurysm 25 or so years ago. Things were pretty normal til 5 years ago when she was diagnosed with early dementia. I feel for the loss of your sister. I am still coping with the loss of my mother who has left us but is still physically here.

Back on track, here's a few more...

1st pic is my 1-1/2 year younger brother, Mom, Pop and I. My old '57 Napco 3/4 ton utility truck in the background. I think we were getting a Christmas tree. Must be around '92 - '93 or so.

Next up is my Mom from shortly after I was born around 1970.

3rd is Mom and Pop likely 10 years ago.

Re: Show Your Mug - Family Time

I feel the same way about sharing person stuff here when I'm very skepical anywhere else. I wondered how others felt about this thread. I'm not giving names or specific locations other than state. And my sisters have different last names being married. Info gets dug up on us so much. I figure just using the internet exposes me to unwanted gathering of info. Many pictures I have I got from my sister's FB page, so already out there

Thanks for the kind words, Chris. I'm sorry to hear about your mom's dementia taking her from you, as you always knew her. That would be so hard for me. I was just talking to a friend at Carlisle who is going through the same thing with his mom. He says the good part is she doesn't know who he is, so she isn't badgering him with "Get me out of here!", which he knows she would surely be saying.

We lost our dad to diabetes. It got pretty bad to where he had a few seizures (at home). Finally he was ordered to stop driving, so he only drove a few more times . That is what he loved to do. The folks live about 150 miles away and he could show up in the driveway at any time, just show up. I need to get more pictures of him on my computer

I guess I've always enjoyed helping others with their trucks. He is Christmas with my branew shiny Tonka lowboy but I'm over with my sister showing her how her Fisher-Price firetruck works Mom looks worn out. Being the only boy, I got stuck wherever they could put me for a bedroom. That's my bed in the background. There was a big heavy curtain that could divide the living room. You can see it on the left. There was a door into the hallway for when it was closed off. You don't see that these days

How about a raft trip? I think this was '14. It's all family there. My 2yr up and 2yr down sisters in front, My niece (2yr down's daughter), her boyfriend, same sister's hubby, other sister's hubby, and I'm the one in the blue paddle jacket and yellow helmet

Re: Show Your Mug - Family Time

My wife and I were in a used record store. And she found this album. Now I was aware of The Dwarves. They were an English punk band that I never really cared for. But I couldn't believe that she had even heard of them.

Turns out she had never heard of them. What caught her attention is the fact that the little girl on the cover is her. She started modeling as a child. She had no idea. The photographer must have sold the photo to the record company. She just randomly stumbled across it.

She said the photo was originally for a religious pamphlet. And she doesn't have a skull and crossbones tattoo on her arm. Someone added that.

She said the photo was originally for a religious pamphlet. And she doesn't have a skull and crossbones tattoo on her arm. Someone added that.

So your wife started a young english punk band. What else has she not told you?
I'm sure if I ever ran across a pic of me on an album cover like that it would freak me out.
