It won't unless that $12k includes assembly & gapping. I believe there's more than one vendor doing the assembly stuff which def makes it more financially appealing.

If it's the sum of parts needed w/some assembly required, I'm betting you'll fight most of the same 'patching' issues.

14 grand for a small window cab through ecklers.I am surprised it took someone this long to start repopping the 67-72 cabs.

I see 2 different cabs there, 383. One has the tunnel cover and one doesn't.

That's my son's truck. When the first picture was taken, I just gone done stripping the under neath of the floor. The picture of it primered with the floor cut out was after he decided to put a 5 speed trans in. There is not one patch or bondo in this cab. All original. My truck is the same way. This cab looks nothing like these pictures today. He painted it dark green and it's on a rolling frame.

Awesome, I love seeing real life pictures/accounts. I can't imagine fitment would be far off, for the price and they don't want to trash their name. Very excited to see future posts about these.

After looking at the pictures of some383's cab I would pay $8K for it. If one figured out the work hours required to get it to that level, the hourly rate might be under minimum wage.
Even soda blasting or dipping a cab is expensive and then you still have the prep work afterwords. If the build quality is decent, and even though they are expensive, I could make an argument the price isn't outrageous as it first appears.
The only cavort is the build quality. That is yet to be determined.

I looked at one last year on the showroom floor of Classic parts in Kansas City. Big window, high hump, AC with doors. It looked nice...good gaps. But it was $15K.

How do you title a new cab like that? You just can't the vin plate off a rusty C10 and transfer it to the new cab.
A couple my car buddies built t-buckets. MN license place had them save every receipt for the build and then they had to take them to a MN inspection station for review. Then MN gave them a vin number.

Premier Street rods out of Lake, Havasu, Arizona. They have a bunch of options to customize how you want. They just started selling the blazer tubs also.

They are licensed by General Motors to build these, so they have paperwork they can provide for registration.

I saw them at the GitDown, they are very high quality. At least the ones that they brought to the show were.

If I had a rust bucket, I wouldn’t hesitate to use one of their products.

It appears some holes and squares are in different places. Are these '67-'72 sold year specific or generic '67-'72? Bottom photo courtesy toomuchstuff.

I wonder if there is only one cab but sold under other folks. Prices really vary

I see Dynacorn has it at 9K MSRP, but other places list it from 12.5K to 14.5k MSRP. Lots of different MSRP, all GM licensed product.

I don’t know about the other suppliers, but Premier Street Rods make theirs in house from all reproduction parts.
