Doors & fenders can be spot repaired & blended in to the surrounding material though so it depends on the situation. If original sheet-metal can be found w/o rust it can be the better option if doing a complete repaint. If it's staying together & not getting the Full-Monty, patch repairs get it done too.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: Screwed, Glued and Tattooed!! Who would do this?!?!

Thanks for the info. I mostly just want to stop the rust from getting worse. I don’t mind leaving the the problem areas patched. I wanted to clear over the existing paint anyway, so if I clear over repaired areas that’s ok.

Re: Screwed, Glued and Tattooed!! Who would do this?!?!

Thanks!

I got the rest of it off. I threw it back in the truck and put a dash insert in. I bought it from a member here but it got bent up real bad in shipping along with a dash bezel.

It’s for a Sierra Classic and probably not the right woodgrain for a 74 but it fits with the rest of the truck for now. A little beat up!
