Re: the 72 K10 with no name (yet) thread
Got some VHT Engine Clear applied.. Supposed to cure at 200°.. I'll just let it sit in this shop for a while.. It's July in Georgia at least it feels like 200°.

Very nice! Get that thing installed and go for a ride, it will help motivate to keep chipping away.

Wasn't super happy with how the intake turned out so I stripped it and repainted it.

Finally made some progress today.. . Need another good day. You know its a long day of wrenching when you realize your head has been bleeding at the end of the day.

Re: the 72 K10 with no name (yet) thread
Nothing super exciting to share yet. Still a few loose ends before firing but we're getting closer.
I did score a set of wheels for it today 15x8 4nubs to run factory caps. I've looked for a set of these for a while they are hard to find. Gonna have them blasted and painted white with factory caps and a mud tire of some sort. |

Re: the 72 K10 with no name (yet) thread
They also sell clips that are attached to rims so you can put the old caps on. A few guys here have used them and said they work well. They are used sometimes when the guys put the oversized transport rims on the truck and want the old caps to work.

Re: the 72 K10 with no name (yet) thread
Nice work on your K10! definitely stinks on the engine but you made the right choice. I've been thinking of putting a rubber mat in my K20 I want to plow with. Maybe it'll be easier to clean?

Re: the 72 K10 with no name (yet) thread
I really wanted carpet because I love how new carpet looks, but muddy footprints come off of a rubber mat much easier .
