I was searching this very thing and this thread popped up. BT Classics, I'm very sorry to hear of the loss of your father. I definitely would hang the original gate up too.
Did you ever buy a reproduction gate yet? I'm trying to decide of the extra $100 for the Mar-K is worth it on my project. It's all adding up too fast again.

Update on the AMD I bought from Summit...
My body man smoothed out all the spot welds and put the finish on it.... this is prior to cut and buff....will have finished bed pics soon I'm happy with it...
