The fuel gauge weighting article was on one of the Corvette boards.
So if I understand there are two types of these records. Technical service bulletins and the Chevy Service Newsletters. Do you know of a source for the technical service bulletins for squarebodies?

I'd send them back.
You can download the electronic versions for free from the manuals thread in my signature. I wouldn't be shocked to see that you paid for the 1983 service manual PDF scan from my thread. My entire PDF manual archive would fit on an 8gb memory stick if you have the patience to download it all.
Paper is the only thing worth paying for.

The Tech Service Bulletins from the 1940's 1950's 1960's 1970's 1980's and 1990's are likely long lost. They were distributed on paper to dealership service departments and were long ago thrown away. I have seen a few that escaped the circular file in the pages of the service manuals from dealership libraries but that's fairly rare. Similar to the assembly line documentation that was thrown away when it was no longer relevant but even more rare to see one that survived. A few scattered portions of the 67-72 & 73-86 CK truck assembly documents escaped but not a full years' worth and not for a complete vehicle.
Chevrolet, Buick, ... Service News publications were more like in-house magazines so they made it into modern collectors libraries and they show up on Ebay.

And please let us know if and how your repairs were successful.
