Lights that are 1000+ Lux with a poor beam pattern and no cutoff are not just annoying to everyone else, they are dangerous.
Don't be that person.

I have Hella E-specs in my truck. You can pick them up off Amazon Warehouse for cheap when somebody returns them. Don't be the person that makes assumptions about others.

Are you sure those are the same high/low beam lenses we used back in the day, and not special lenses for use in the fog?

Yessir. They are Cibie #82440 headlamps made in Belgium by Valeo (they bought Cibie years ago). They use a dual filament H4 bulb, one filament for low beam and a separate filament for high beam. Every fog lamp I'm aware of uses a single filament bulb.

As I noted above, I suspect they are being called fog lights for legal reasons. Last I heard (years ago) they were not DOT-approved for highway use and were sold for off-road only. At that time nearly everything in the USA used crappy old sealed-beam headlights, and these are a huge improvement over those. As with any modern light, correct aiming is important to avoid blinding oncoming traffic with your low beams. I have used them for decades with no problems, legal or otherwise.

Hella makes a 5-3/4” version that would work in our GMCs:

Yes -- That Hi/Low (H4 bulb) lamp goes in the outer position on your quad-lamp GMC. The inner position is Hi only and typically uses an H1 bulb.
Hella makes them also, and so do other companies. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/h...5831?rrec=true

One of my old Corvettes had four 5 3/4" Cibies and the light output, especially on high beam, was quite stunning.

Re: A quality alternative for H4 glass headlight housings

Thanks Mike, I was wondering if the inner HI beam only position would use a different lense and bulb

Haven't got them on the 70 yet, but hopefully will get to it soon.
Ordered this kit, I am impressed as complete as it is and the quality.

Looks like a nice kit, especially for the price.

The cruiserteq kit is the same kit as the one I posted. Those are nice pics on their site since they show the harness. It’s well worth the $$. Check with your local dealer, they may be able to get it for less and no shipping (in my instance).
