Re: What should I do with my 1970 C10
Sell it to me But in all seriousness I would fix what needs to be done mechanically and spruce up the seat and then drive it .

Don't get to carried away, fix what you need to make it a driver (hopefully a safe-ish one). Enjoy it and slowly do things that will allow you to keep driving it as much as possible.

Re: What should I do with my 1970 C10
My 69 has the same exact trim package even the interior is the same except for color. Mines maroon and white. The only other difference is you have a custom badge and mine didnt have one. Nice truck. One thing I learned long ago and tell my customers is build it to what you want and how you like it to be. Cause at the end of the day you are the only one that has to be happy with it. Build it the way someone else wants it will lead to you getting tired of it early on and not being happy.

Keep her off the road in the winter time. The little spots of rust can be addressed with “Rust Inhibitor/Converter”, with disturbing very little of the current paint. The tailgate bottom can be cut out and patched so it doesn’t get any worse. If this was mine, I’d find a Power Brake and Power Steering setup for it, making her much more enjoyable to drive.((I did this with my 70, as it came with manual brakes and steering) Search the old forms, to see how to repair your steering wheel, which is in pretty good shape. Keep the outward appearance the way it is |
