+2 on the Head Light Harness. I use Sylvania Silverstar bulbs, 5500k

ALL your lights will be brighter after relay install as the full volt load is taken out of the switch

plug & play install. No cutting any wires. Just mount 2 relays near the battery

Did it work right out of the box? Mine worked just fine for a time or 3 then quit. When I turn the battery on the lights come on, even when I had the light switch and the dimmer switch laying on the floor unplugged. They were both crusty and needed replaced. I determined that one of the relays is bad, maybe both. Sticking in the connected position so it got power whenever the battery disconnect switch was on. I'm looking for a quality relay that fits the LMC harness. I had the harness for a few years before I installed it so it's unlikely LMC would do anything about it. I think I'd be happier with a non-Chinese relay anyway. As for the landing light in the high beams of a 4-light system, they really light things up for a long distance. I had them in a 67 Corvette and still have them in my 59 Corvette. A relay is a must. The circuit breaker would pop then I'd have to let it cool down before I could use the high beams again.

I have the LMC and yes the packageing says made in china....but so far it works fine

I also have one in my 67 Camaro I bought from Speedway for about the same $ a few years ago. It just came in a zip loc bag. IDK origin but assume some place in US make it. I also have had no issues with it either

Time will tell if either presents issues or if a relay needs replacing

More my style and is my current setup. DOT, clear glass housing with replaceable bulb. I prefer regular halogen bulbs. Cheaper to replace. Easier to find. More of an OEM look.
Wiring setup is required and is brighter than OEM with better light pattern. I've done the same style setup with my '87 Chevy and my Jeep.
It reads "Each headlight includes a wiring adaptor to connect to the appropriate factory wiring."
But I'd recommend the headlight harness.

That is what I have now but at my age I need something brighter, I was hoping I could see better at night.

Did you use the harness?? Pulls power from the battery making them brighter. Will never be as bright as HID or LED. But these blind oncoming traffic.

Does it not need a harness? The way the comments on the bottom of the links page read you need a relay wiring harness.

The kit I bought suggested buying the relay harness as the relays will take the amperage draw away from the switch which will keep it from failing prematurely. Which after thinking about it thats why all todays automotive suff uses relays. I installed the harness on mine.

my .02 worth on the original question, have always found the Hella E-code housings, good quality H4 bulbs and the relay harness to be as bright or brighter than any Chinese-made LED "kits"
