Re: power steering and automatic conversion

This is my second one. No brainer for me. Cut a chunk out of your stock column and done. I rebuilt my stock box and am installing a 1.5 steering quickner. Google says that's not a word. I also have a RenCool electric A/C compressor (5000 BTU) with remote condenser. with spall fan.

I erased your name and address off the photo. I hope that was ok with you.

Thanks. I don't know how to do that. I wasn't too worried about it because that's the address of the dry ice manufacturing plant I was building at the time. I'm on these projects for about 8 months nationwide. I have found that most companies will ship to a commercial address for free. My rotisserie was made 150 miles from my house and they wanted $250 shipping. They shipped 550 miles to the jobsite for free. I put it in my truck and brought it home. Sorry for rambling.

Same here. I work for a fleet repair facility and folks are happy to ship items to work for free or reduced cost. The only downside is no one is there on the weekend.

Good point. I move on to the jobsite with a 34' fifth wheel with 4 slide outs and my 2 Basset Hounds. I run all the hookups and fence it with AstroTurf. These are $55 million projects so they don't care about the cost. I also have equipment to unload stuff.

Re: power steering and automatic conversion

Good point dsraven, I did reseal and adjust my steering gear box while I had it out and it being cut in half made that job easy. A bonus to using EPAS is removing and installing the column is easy because it is now 3 pieces. I could take the lower half out and leave the top half in. 4 bolts and unplug some wires and my whole power unit, upper column and steering wheel are out, just leaving a tube sticking out of the floor.

Re: power steering and automatic conversion

I went to Dropbox and uploaded the write-up and a couple other files that one might need to do the shifter conversion.

If I did it right, this is the link to download that stuff:

Please let me know if it worked or not.

Thanks!
