Sub’d for future reference.
Although I will say, that I have a factory Tach, and many years ago I installed a Mallory “Electronic Ignition Module” to replace the Dual Point System that I was running. I’ve never had any issues. Just lucky I guess

I have tested and calibrated 3 OE Tachs and they work with point and GM style HEI ignition. I don't have any experience with aftermarket tachs.
