I think it is too high priced based on the pictures. It's one salty winter away from flaking rust. I'd start off at $2700 and go from there. What are the miles on the engine and tranny? I'm sure there is more hidden rust in the cab.

I was thinking the same. It looks like a $3000 - $4000 truck to me. Don't get me wrong, it's in better shape than what you would find up here, it just looks like it's 1 season away from rusting out bad in spots

I'd be questioning:
1. Why the bed and cab lines don't even come close to mating up - bad cab mounts?
2. How come C/10 emblems are painted as well as headlight bezels. Looks to me link the front clip has been repainted?

Thumbs down

If I was going to spend $4000-$5000 on a truck, I would pass on this one. Rust repair gets expensive quick. That cab has the '69 firewall rust and the doors are shot... Wood bed is enticing, but is easily replicated with aftermarket parts. Keep looking...

If the cab supports and floor are solid and its a real short 4x4 with all the right stuff, it may be worth it, depending on how mechancially sound it is. Can't by pictures if the body has been patched up or not.

My opinion is he is at least $2500.00 too high on his price. It looks good from a distance and I think that is what he is counting on. That has some major firewall issues that unless you want to spend a lot of time fixing, would cause me to pass. If I had it I would probably replace the cab instead of fixing that one. For a driver untill your 4x4 is done, I would say $2000.00 to 2500.00... IMO WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

I would guess about 3000, there looks like there is a lot of rust hidden or about a year away from breaking out.

I agree....that is about a $3000-$4000 or so truck.

Check the area above the windshield REAL GOOD....from the top picture it looks like it may be rotting a little bit up there. That would render the cab almost usueless.

I saw a truck of similiar build ('69 SWB C10) with a motor about the same, but completley rust free and with what looked like brand new paint for $5500 for sale in my area a few years ago. Not new paint on the interior, but still a sharp truck. It very well may have been a bondo beast, but i though the price seemed pretty fair, if not $500-$1000 too low. Too bad i was too broke to buy it

I'd offer $3,200 at most...

Lots of rust from the pictures you've shown. Have you checked the cab/front clip supports? Engine bay is pretty dirty as well....

YEP .. WHAT EVERYONE ELSE SAID ....... YOU LIVE IN COLORADO, & THERE IS ALOT OF TRUCKS OF THIS VINTAGE THAT DON'T HAVE ANY RUST ISSUES IN NEARBY STATES. REPLACING A MOTOR, TRANSMISSION,SUSPENSION, IS NOTHING COMPARED TO TRYING TO PATCH UP SOME RUST. LOOK FOR A FAIRLY RUSTFREE 2WD 3/4 TON $1500 TRUCK & PUT THE OTHER $3500 IN YOUR RESTORATION. THATS MY .03 CENTS JOHN

Here in PA 5k isnt unreasonable for that truck. I'd say around 4 is just right.

Here in Texas that truck would go for $3000 at most and probably a lot less. There are millions of those in that shape here.

See if Charlie still has this truck- http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...threadid=79761

I've looked at it in person and it is super clean. Definitely good transportation until you get the other done. I'll even sell you a V8 auto conversion for it!
