The good sauerkraut is made with the lactic acid method rather than saline. I have my mother's sauerkraut crock.

No kidding. Thanks, I’ll look into that. I was jazzing up some of Milwaukee’s best kraut per Oma’s directions including a smoked ham hock.

I prefer Mimi's Milk Nog to egg nog but I like both.

When I was a young buck I worked with an old guy who was originally from
South Dakota, his family got together every year and made Sauerkraut.

I wasn't crazy about the stuff, he gave me a mason jar of it to try.

I never tasted Sauerkraut like that before or since, it was absolutely delicious.
Have no idea how it was made but I know you can't buy it in the store.
