I use my truck as a daily driver, and I personally don't like the pipes out the side. As someone said before, the sound will bounce off of everything. I personally find it to loud. For mufflers, I have some noname turbo mufflers.

Just my opinion

Kinda OT, but does anyone else get a laugh out of setting of ricer car alarms while driving by them in parking lots? I love it.

Nope, Its always an accident when i leave it in first in the parking garage, or give it a couple hits on the go pedal when I'm parked beside one.

Re: Exhaust out the side?

I've run an H pipe. Put it right behind my collectors (I have long tube headers), but I took them off b/c I lost my cam chop. I currently run glass packs...no issues w/ ground clearance, but my truck is at stock ride height as well.

(1st pic is a T-shirt that I made for a buddy's band...)

Jeff, I will take some pics of my set up for you this weekend. It is very straight forward-

Re: Exhaust out the side?

I really believe that if you are going to do the side exits, then the body should be molded for a fit around them. It just adds to the flair of the finish and does not give it such a unfinsihed look.
