After a little research of some 99-04 chevy Forums sounds like the DJM is the way to go.
Fiveeightchevy......can you reccommend a 2/4 or a 4/6? The weather here in Jersey has been wicked cold so I haven't even driven the truck since I brought it home from the dealership. I've been driving a 92 Mazda Protoge with 215K miles on her. Perfect for driving on ice.

One thing to be careful with is cutting the notch. The frames are hydro formed and from my experience with them they don’t take to heat very well so cut the notch with a sawzall or cut off wheel if you can. I also like to flip the compression struts over to gain a ½” clearance. They run from right behind the LCA’s and make an “x” pattern to the frame. It’s 4 bolts and easy to do and will help in the long run. If you have any questions do a search for 99+ DJM drops on FSC, you'll see probably 80% of the guys there have the DJM drop and love it. |
