Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

I think some of you have like the power brakes more than me, along with steering. I have both manual and i dont mind it at all. in fact i like it, but mine isnt a daily driver and im pretty strong in the arms. I would have to say
1. sway bar, not matter what truck you have.
2. I can agree with seat (buckets for me, BTW, i want to buy)
3. Ignition on engine(better milage, less emissions: msd, hei, etc)4. Headlights (anything is better than stock)
5. New rubber and felt components ( bushings for cab, etc)
6. Drivetrain (who wants to go slow?)
7. Paint
Mine are broad, but thats what ive did.

Slammed, im curious as to why you put externally regulated alternator? That means you cant use one wire.

Tx Firefighter mentioned "3. New linkage bushings in column shift trucks".

I assume this applies to automatic trucks? Where do the bushings go and where do you get them?

No, I meant on column shift 3 speed trucks. New bushings make them shift properly again.

There is 1 bushing in the arm on the coulmn of auto columns. The rest of the linkage often wears out though, and you'll need to repair all of the slop by welding and re-maching the area.

Of course you do! Just look at you! You're small enough to FIT behind that gigantic captain's wheel! For the rest of us, <ahem>, "amply-girthed" individuals, we've got to do what it takes just to get in the truck without getting romantic with the steering wheel!

Don't forget a fire extinguisher! You would want your truck to burn down on the side of the road. Do you trust all that 30+ year old wiring?

I'm supprised no one has mentioned a painless wiring harness. I just put one in my truck and it is the best thing I've done to it yet. Plus that eliminates the need for a fire extinguisher. I didn't have one and almost needed one. That bumped the priority of the wiring harness up to #1.

Well I have lots of lists but here's 2 in no particular order

suspension/drivetrain
1) Disc brakes all around, with stainless lines, power booster, master and all new parts.
2) Go through ENTIRE front and rear suspension bushings, u-joints, shocks, body mounts, wheel bearings, etc...
3) Posi
4) Big block - rebuild
5) Go through rear end, seals bearings
6) 4/6 drop
7) Good tires all the way around
8) rebuild tranny
9) Abuse until something breaks and then make it stonger

Asthetics....
1) CST buckets
2) *****in' paint job - Black cherry
3) Stainless bed strips
4) new Oak floor
5) Rear roll pan
6) French antenna, tail lights into body.
7) Nice set of wheels

I could go on and on since everything on my truck needs upgraded or modified.
