I would not consider going all vinal an upgrade , but I have seen both types of seats in both the custom models. My 50th burb, which is a Custom, there is know such thing as a CST burb, has cloth inserts.

I believe it's supposed to have the sport bumper on the rear due to the fact that there is extra metal on the bedsides ( what I believe to be stoppers for the rear bumper). It has the custom badges on the door at the center of the window( same place as the 69 cst badges were at If I recall correctly it being the 69 truck ). And after your last entry I now beleive it's a CST Anniversary Edition Truck... Let me know your thought on this please....I noticed that you list a C-20 50th in your list of trucks you have. If nothing else if you would shoot me a pic of the door on your truck then I could tell for sure exactly what mine is.. Thanks ,Shane
I would think if the "Custom" emblems are still there on the door, your truck is most likely a Custom. Also, if your truck was a CST, I do believe it would say it on the Glove box emblem. I think cloth seats were an option that could be had.

Here is a scan from the 1968 Data Book. Im sorry, I only have the scan for the Burbs, so it will not show the CST option, because it was not available on the burbs. But you will get an idea what the "Custom" options included. It was the Z62 option. Again, all 50th's had to have this option, or the CST option.

A 68 CST will have carpet not vinyl on the floor. It will also have chrome inserts on the pedals. It will also have a chrome bumper. Carpet and chrome bumper are also available as seperate options though. A 68 CST bench seat will be all vinyl. It has heavy ribbing on the inserts similar to the one pictured. I'll post a picture of mine tonight if I get a chance.

Your truck sounds like a custom to me. Have you posted any pictures of it yet?

On the 50th, they had to have chrome bumpers wether it was a "Custom" or "CST". Im not positive, but I think all "50th" pickups had carpet

I know my 50th burb came with rubber.

It sound like a 68 50th truck has several options that have to go along with it. Custom/CST as mentioned before and of course the belt line molding. Front chrome bumper and carpeting may fall into that same category too.

well anyways, the truck I bought is of a different breed. It's the first 50th Anniversary I've ever seen. I like it . It has the custom badges but also has the cst bench seat for the 50th, chrome bumpers, ventwings, park brake handle cover. All in all I think it was a good find and after everyone's posts, it's definitely worth something more to me. thanks to everyone for their input on this truck, Shane

The bench seat you have was an option that you could get with the Custom. It did not just come in a CST. Sounds like a nice truck. Can't wait to see pictures.
