Correction Hooter. It is connected to the manifold port on the back of the carb. Also I pulled the metal line to look at it and on one side its nice and open the other side looks like it was dropped on the concrete and the hole is almost closed. I am going to get a new line tomorrow. Will post back after I have installed it.

It controls your wide open throttle shifts-(no vacumn at full throttle)-hence if stuck or worn will not move shaft enough for trans to shift.

Kick down solinoid
Just a thought, but the Turbo 400 has an internal electric Solinoid that causes the trans to down shift what current is applied, I'de check to make sure the kickdown switch in not shorted out and continuesly appling power, or that the Solinoid in not sticking.

No prob jhow66 I understand. From what I was told by the person that I bought the kickdown switch from is that it was new and from what I am seeing it is not sticking. But anything is possible. Will probably have to give in and take it to a tranny place. Would like to avoid that if possible.
Thanks

To check to see if the switch is the problem...simply unplug it
