I dont recall anyone using vdo gauges, maybe I didnt look hard enough. what are peoples thoughts on them?

Here's the one for my 69, it's not a custom bezel, just the stock one reworked.

This is what I have to go in my '67. Comes in three colors: blue, green, and teal. Also, I know they have the wiring harness for the 67 to make an easy switch, may have it for other years as well. Hope this helps!!

Tried a couple times to insert pic...can't get it to work...email or pm and I will send pic. This is a fully digital dash...looks nice, but definitely not stock![IMG]

If you put in a custom gage set, I highly recommend the use of a universal gage wiring harness. It allows you to install the gages in the insert on the work bench and then plug it in to your underdash wiring harness. I bought the Painless version.

i agree with gr8scott51, i used the painless harness for the gauges and it was real easy to wire them up. The only way the flaming river gauge panel comes is polished or non polished, i think it was around 180 dollars polished.

I have a custom guage cluster and glove box door and Am trying to sell both. This is a fully functional Gauge cluster and Glove box door off of a 69 Chevy Pickup, all gauges are in excellent working condition. They are both Equipped with Billet inserts. These inserts alone go for over $150. The Gauge Needles are painted a red for an added custom touch. Both Pieces are in Excellent condition. If you interested.. Please let me know..

New SunPro oil, temp, vacum, and volt gauges. I'm going to go with the white MPH and gas gauges, get a white face SunPro tach - same exact model as I have, just white face, and put in into the center slot.

Ok well I think I may have figured out what I’m going to do. I'm thinking about cutting up an old glove box door so that it fits the shape and size of the gauge opening then modify it a little more until I reach the desired look. I have basically come to this conclusion since nothing that is currently out there is what I want. I also want the opportunity to make something custom for my truck and this is the perfect opportunity. Thank you to those who have helped so far. It is greatly appreciated and a huge help.

I do have one last question.
Where can I find a set of gauges with the following criteria?

-white backing
-large gas gauge
-large Speedo
-small oil
-small temp
-small volts
-small time analog preferred

SunPro has white gauges that blend in well (IMHO). The font even matches the original font in my '67.

autometer is another popular brand, and it has white faced gauges as well.
