I personally don't think it looks good notched around the side marker, looks like a late afterthought. I'd rather just shave the marker and have a complete flare instead.

Re: How about some pics of "4x4" Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?
yeah, Bushwackers. I don't particularly care for the way the cover half the marker light either. Not all states will allow shaving marker lights, and not all people are willing to do that much work. I shaved them all on my '71 C10, for looks. But, for this vehicle they are all about function since I didn't want to lift it more to clear the tires. Looks aren't a priority on this build. It's all about utility. It did take me about a week to get up the courage to take the saws-all to the quarter panels though.
BTW, if one wanted to shave the light and not have the notch out of the flare, they could just buy the front flares for a 70's model where the lights were vertical. No notch on them.

Psycho71- I wasn't trying to sound critical, I was just kinda throwing out an idea is all. If you can, get some clearer pics of the Suburban and post up more. Looks pretty nice!

Re: How about some pics of "4x4" Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?
It's all good. I agree with you on the partially covered marker light. But in looking at it, it would have been difficult for them to do it any other way.
Actually, any clearer or closer pics right now and it would look worse. The paint is pretty rough. The body is fairly straight and rust free but it sat out in a pasture for about the past 8 yrs in the TX sun. So the paint is toast. It'll be getting painted in the not so distant future. Nothing special though, probably a step or two better than a rattle can job. I'm gonna wait til I get the bumpers and roof rack built for it before I worry about paint though. All in good time.

Re: How about some pics of "4x4" Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?
I was gonna run those Bushwackers, I like the rivet/bolts in them, (looks tough) but I think I just need to make some like these, I'll need more clearance anyway. Seriously considering moving my front axle forward about 3" and my rear back 3-6" as well. I need to talk to Todd and get more pics of his black one...

I found this movie a few weeks ago, maybe some people might like it. You have to pause the vid at 1 second to really see the thing from a distance. I wish the random guy didn't film it so fast, but this video is worth about 1,000 pictures, he pretty much shows everything!
