Congrats John! I saw your post on Facebook, & I think I even "liked" it. I didn't realize it was you at the time though.

Just gunna get it on the road and cleaned up. The inside needs a lot of cleaning, I'll post pics when its cleaned up. Prolly hang onto it until tax return season then sell it.
Busted out the pressure washer to knock the worst crud off.

Re: Project Goldilocks, '66 C10 SWB BBW Build
Thanks dudes. It doesn't run yet, no gas getting to the carb. I'm picking up a new tank Wednesday so I can get started on the fuel system. It'll run off starting fluid, no ticks or knocks and has good oil pressure. I started a build thread for it to keep from clogging up Goldilocks' build.

Re: Project Goldilocks, '66 C10 SWB BBW Build
I wish! Gotta work on our customer's trucks all day. I'm looking into front spindles now so I can mock up temporary A-arms. That'll let me map out the changes I want to make, and translate those dimensions to a jig. Probably going with CPP since they have separate caliper mounts and hubs are available for slip on rotors.

Picked up a pair of 283 air cleaners from member Southern Parts this morning. Not going to use them, but needed them for the snorkels and also to study the stamping designs so I can work them into the cleaners I'll make for the Webers.

Re: Project Goldilocks, '66 C10 SWB BBW Build
Picked up a pair of CPP modular spindles from Boris (way2low) at Street Machinery. I can't find upper A-arm shafts that are dropped 1/2"; need those so I can start mocking up the A arms. Might have to have some made, or drop the mounting point itself. Gotta get ball joints too.
Also picked up a pair of NOS inside door handles. Repops won't stay on the stem.

Thanks!!

It's new in the wrapper still, never opened. Will REALLY set the truck apart once it's noticed. And it's a full set of FIVE. Not just four. ALL FIVE!!! Seriously though, I've sent an email to Hotchkis asking if they sell offset upper A-arm shafts. Haven't been able to find them anywhere else that will bolt straight to the factory crossmember. They come with their upper A-arms; hopefully they'll sell them separately. They'll help with camber gain, along with taller upper ball joints. That's about it.

Email from Hotchkis... no luck on the shafts. Looks like I'll be making my own.

Yes, but offset inward/outward depending on how you install them. I'm looking for .5" dropped pivot points.

Re: Project Goldilocks, '66 C10 SWB BBW Build
Yep! I think that those, along with taller C20 ball joints will get me in about the same range of camber gain as the available aftermarket IFS kits.
