Re: Maggie's Custom

Just a FYI, incase you didn't know. That pic of the engine in black.....that's a 305 balancer on there.[/QUOTE]

The motor in her truck was a 305 (small balancer) and the "new" motor is a 350 with 305 416 hp heads. I assume he used the 305 balancer because he had it. But a very good eye!!!
Thanks
Jason

I haven't gotten around to using your power steering bracket but as soon as I get the truck sorted out its getting put on!!
Thanks
Jason

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: Maggie's Custom

There is a small group of us building street cars to do a little "no prep" racing, thats John car. Heres mine. I decided not to put a change in my Nova. All of my stuff is going in this car. Its another reason I haven't worked on her truck. The cage is in, motor and trans are built, so as soon as her truck is done, back on the wagon!!

Maybe I need to drag my junk over to John's to do an engine swap. Looks like that would be a way to see some progress, anyhow.

Re: Maggie's Custom

Jason and Maggie. I bought sail sail custom cab trim on ebay, and let's just say the seller did not clearly identify the amount of overspray on them. I've tried chemicals but cannot get the spray off. In a previous post Maggie was working on hers. What did you do? I don't have a problem taping and painting, but did you sand blast or sand them clean?
See you Saturday at Pistons n Paint.
Jerry

I had hers rechromed, painted them with lacquer paint, than whipped off the excess with lacquer remover.

Somewhere earlier in the thread he said he used Pulidos plating. they are in the Mesquite area if I remember right. I had my wifes R1 wheels done there and they turned out awesome. he is supposed to be one of the better and affordable guys in DFW.

We got a decent sized little crew here in the Denton area!

Thanks. Yes we do. Pistons n paint will be fun. I'm trying to remember all the pickups on this site that will hopefully be there.
Keep an eye out for mine. Red with black wheels, it'll be the truck laying on the grass.
