Re: Surf Blue

Congrats Danny, on the great picture of your truck in the new Goodguys Gazette, (June 2011 edition).
I see a "for sale" sign,... did you sell it?

Sorry for the late response, I don't check this thread very often anymore. No ,didn't sell it ,I still have the truck.

Sometimes I want to sell it and sometimes I don't, who knows if I ever will or not.

Re: Surf Blue

BTW... whatever happened to your dad's '83 SWB?

Also... did you notice a difference with the vacuum reservoir on the truck after mounting? My FIL is having issues with his '69; seems as though his motor (big cam) is robbing from his brakes.

congrats on the sale. I'm sure you're gonna miss this truck for sure. It is a first class build all the way. I bet the new owner is more than a happy camper. Link to the Riviera build?

Sold the 83, it needed too much stuff. The vacuum reservoir didn't improve the brakes much at all.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Damn...didn't see a sell coming. If I may ask, what did it sell for? I just want to know how upset to be considering I didn't know.

Re: Surf Blue

Nice truck and nice build thread thanx for all the useful info. I've subscribed and refrenced this thread several times in the short period that I have had my truck. My build is very similar to yours and I was wondering if the cups on your front baggs are welded, bolted to the lower control arms or do they just rest there in the pocket. I have already had everything powdercoated and I'm hoping they will be fine just sitting in there without welding. Again thank you.
